Dear Dallas Community School Parents,

Our Education Guides have been talking with many of you about the Smarter Balance State Assessment. There are many questions that have come up and because of that we are partnering with Dallas School District to host a 1 hour Parent Information Night on Tuesday February 9 starting at 6PM.

It will give you a chance to ask questions and spend some hands-on time going through a practice test to give you a real understanding of what is expected should you want your student to participate.

Steven Martinelli, Director of Instructional Services and Transportation, will be our guide. Steve is the former principal at Whitworth Elementary and last year supervised his entire student body as they went through the 1st year of Smarter Balance assessments. Needless to say he understands them well.

For those of you able to come on Tuesday February 9th starting at 6PM, we will be meeting at the Dallas School District office located at 111 SW Ash Street. You can enter through the double doors. We will meet in the district’s computer lab.

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to e-mail office@DallasCommunitySchool.org or call us (503) 420-4630.

Regards,

Dennis Schultz
